Human Brain to the Mind of Gaia

It has been verified that several phenomena of global character, that predict a clear
movement of Earth integration, have been happening lately, revealing the proximity of an
evolutionary leap in the planetary psyche. Observe, for instance, the instantaneous
circulation of capitals in the stock markets of the world, the Internet explosion and the
emergence of countless papers and thesis on the integration of a global mind.
Neurological research on the human brain already allowed to identify which are the
locatable and non-locatable psychological functions in the cerebral cortex. Dr C.G.
Jung´s discoveries on the collective unconscious and, more recently, of the
electromagnetic interactions between the human brain and the Earth ionosphere show that
the emergency of a conscious stratum in the planetary psyche is something that can already
be detected.
Starting from the new researches on the phenomena that happen in the threshold of the
physical death and on the evidences of reincarnation, the whole outline of the
psychological sciences is subverted, relatively to that was known - or believed to be
known - in the 20th century.
This implies a substantial redefinition of what we mean by being alive and the personal
responsibility of each one.

The appearance of the three larger institutionalized religions of the West - Judaism,
Christianity and Islamism - represented a rupture with old practices disseminated for
nearly all the cultures of the past and also present in most of other cultures in the
present time: the access of all those that aspirate to a personal contact with the Divine
to a transcendent experience.
This used to be processed - and is still processed - through the ingestion of natural
substances, usually extracted of the plant world, capable to act on the perception and to
alter the conscience deeply.
Mostly resultants of a well established tradition, those substances of power are
administered under priests' or qualified instructors orientation, during appropriate
rituals. The experience of transcendence is, this way, allowed to all - or at least to the
more accredited - making the Divinity noticed and experimented directly, well beyond a
simple faith.
In the East, the great religions developed methods to reach the transcendence without
those chemical assistance needs. The spread of those methods can be a solution for the
world problem of drug abuse.

The dominant civilization on Earth is convinced that it is the owner of the planet and
of nature as a whole, acting in an irresponsible and predatory way, under a perspective
incredibly short-sighted of what is its own existence, as a collectivity and as
individuals. The human beings are destroying their environment systematically,
extinguishing other species - some of them endowed with superior spiritual life - and even
oppressing and subduing their own fellow creatures, for the mere satisfaction of desires
of powerful and ignorant minorities.
Seen by extraterrestrials, the picture presented by the planet Earth can be quite
differentiated, according to those space visitors' capacity of perception. However, what
could those extraterrestrials be? What could be their nature and constitution? And what
would motivate them in searching for a contact with us?
The scientists of the Earth have programs of inter-stellar listening to detect eventual
messages of other sentient beings of the cosmos. Nonetheless, we should ask: how can such
scientists consider what an extraterrestrial being could be, if the terrestrials
themselves have been showing so ignorant of what they really are?
